Registered Nurse (RN) - 1:1 Position with Elementary Student

Location: Near Utica, NY

Job Description:

Our district is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is a 1:1 assignment, providing essential healthcare support to an elementary student within our district. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of the student, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to an elementary student with specific health needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures as prescribed by the student's healthcare plan.
• Monitor and assess the student's health condition during school hours.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement the student's individualized healthcare plan.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and district health policies.
• Accompany the student on the school bus, providing necessary medical support during transportation.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of New York.
• Experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a school setting.
• Knowledge of relevant state regulations and best practices in school health.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, administrators, and healthcare professionals.
