Job Description:

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! The School RN will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our students. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals within an educational environment.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings for students.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies.
  • Monitor and manage immunization records and health documentation for compliance with state regulations.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to promote a healthy school environment.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care as needed.
  • Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote health awareness throughout the school community.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all students.

    Qualifications:

  • Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) 
  • Licensed School Nurse is a big plus
  • BSN Required
  • Previous experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Knowledge of state regulations pertaining to school health services preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
