1:1 School RN Position Now Available

Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with a school district in Harvey, IL, is on the hunt for a dedicated 1:1 Registered Nurse. This role requires a compassionate RN who can provide specialized care for a specific student, ensuring their well-being, safety, and health needs are met throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care based on the student's individual health care plan.
• Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures as prescribed.
• Monitor and document the student's medical condition and response to care.
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other school staff regarding the student's health status.
• Respond to and manage emergency health situations.
• Collaborate with the school's health team to integrate care within the broader school environment.
• Attend field trips or extracurricular activities as required to provide continued care.
• Stay updated with the student's medical condition and any modifications in their care plan.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois.
• Prior pediatric or school nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Commitment to maintaining student privacy and adhering to all HIPAA guidelines.
