Location: Henderson, NC

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Start–End Dates: August 1, 2025 – June 9, 2026

Setting: Onsite, K–12 school

Caseload: 1:1 with a student requiring tracheostomy care

Additional Duties: Ride the bus to and from school daily with the student

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide full-day nursing support to one medically fragile student

Administer trach care and monitor for medical stability

Assist with student transport and transitions between home and school

Follow and implement an individualized health plan (IHP)

Communicate with caregivers, teachers, and support staff

Support and supervise any nursing-related activities involving the student’s parent or team

Qualifications:

Current RN License in North Carolina (required)

Proven experience with trach care and pediatric patients

Familiarity with creating or following a health plan of care

Confident working autonomously in a school setting
