Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Cardiac Thoracic Transplant

Location: Madison, WI
Shift: Full-time (Days/Eves)

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the surgical team at an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center in Madison, Wisconsin. This position requires expertise in cardiovascular, endovascular, peripheral vascular, and transplant surgeries. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Operating Room before surgery, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready.
  • Promote patient safety throughout the surgical process.
  • Assist the surgeon during surgeries, ensuring a sterile field and providing necessary tools.
  • Care for the patient during and after surgery, and manage surgical instruments post-procedure.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver safe, effective care to patients of all age groups, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of scrub experience, with strong skills in cardiovascular, endovascular, and peripheral vascular surgeries (must rate 4/5 in skills checklist).
  • Transplant experience across multiple specialties.
  • Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similar size hospital.
  • Traveler must live outside a 50-mile radius of Madison 
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • BLS certification and CST certification preferred.

    Schedule:

  • Full-time, Day/Eve shifts.
  • Some call required.
