Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing essential care and support within educational settings. This full-time contract opportunity seeks a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to offer direct assistance to students across grade levels K-12. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026 through June 4, 2027. You’ll work onsite, collaborating closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to deliver individualized attention and promote student well-being.

Schedule/Hours:

  • If assigned to an elementary campus: 7:30am – 3:30pm
  • If assigned to a secondary campus: 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
  • Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in educational, pediatric, or similar environments
  • Ability to follow IEPs and individualized healthcare plans
  • Flexibility to work with either one-on-one assignments or with groups of 10–20 medically fragile students, as needed
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Compassion, patience, and professionalism when interacting with students, families, and staff
  • Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care, including medication administration, hygiene, mobility, and monitoring of student health status
  • Support medically fragile students throughout the school day, adapting to changing needs
  • Document care provided and communicate vital information to nursing staff and administration
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe and healthy school environment
  • Participate in school-mandated and position-specific training sessions
