  • Position Type: Full-time, 13-week contract (with possibility of extension)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts (evening and midnight shifts available)
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, weekly pay
  • Pay: Negotiable, based on experience and facility budget

Requirements:

  • Active Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience
  • At least 1 year of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience in a similar setting
  • Must meet Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer

Job Duties:

  • Provide attentive and compassionate direct patient care in various clinical settings, including long-term care facilities, clinics, or hospitals
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols
  • Perform routine assessments of patients' health status, including monitoring vital signs and observing for any changes or abnormalities
  • Collaborate closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient information, interventions, and responses to treatment in electronic health records
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medication management, and disease prevention strategies
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing care standards and practices
