Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time contract position in a school-based setting in Marysville, CA. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a background in special education, committed to providing high-quality medical care and support to students within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Medical Care: Provide routine and emergency medical care to students, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs to ensure students' health and safety.
  • Develop and Implement Health Plans: Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to create and manage individualized health plans for students with medical needs, ensuring that they receive appropriate care throughout the school day.
  • Maintain Health Records: Accurately document medical histories, treatment plans, and health incidents. Ensure all records are current and comply with local and state regulations.
  • Support Special Education Needs: Partner with special education staff to address health-related aspects of students' individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring their medical needs are effectively managed.
  • Educate and Advise Families: Provide health education to students and staff on various topics, such as chronic condition management and health promotion. Offer support and guidance to families regarding their child's health needs and management strategies.

    Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid LPN license and meet all local and state regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
