Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time contract position within a school-based setting in Harrisburg, PA. This role is ideal for a skilled healthcare professional with a background in special education, who is committed to providing exceptional care and support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Medical Care: Provide routine and emergency medical care to students, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs to ensure their health and well-being.
  • Develop and Manage Health Plans: Work closely with school staff and healthcare providers to create and implement individualized health plans for students with medical needs, ensuring these plans are effectively followed throughout the school day.
  • Maintain Accurate Health Records: Document students’ medical histories, treatment plans, and health incidents accurately. Ensure all records are up-to-date and comply with local and state regulations.
  • Support Special Education Needs: Collaborate with special education teams to integrate health-related needs into students' individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring their medical and developmental needs are met.
  • Educate and Support Families: Provide health education to students and staff on various health topics and offer guidance to families regarding their child’s health needs, including chronic condition management and overall wellness.

    Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid LPN license and meet all local and state regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
