District School Nurse (RN)

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate District School Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with a passion for promoting health and wellness among students. The District School Nurse will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services, promoting a healthy school environment, and collaborating with school staff, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments and screenings for students
• Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address health-related concerns
• Conduct health education programs for students and staff
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Participate in the development and implementation of school wellness policies
• Stay informed about current health issues and trends in school nursing

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Certification in school nursing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school health services

Experience:

• Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing is preferred but not required
• Experience in managing and implementing health programs
