Emergency Room Nurse Job Open in Oregon

Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Nurse for a travel assignment in Portland, Oregon. This travel assignment is for 13 weeks and possible extension.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

   • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
   • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

2. Certifications:

   • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
   • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
   • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification, if applicable.

3. Experience:

   • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an emergency department or critical care setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Triage: Assess and prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring those in critical condition receive immediate attention.

2. Emergency Care: Administer emergency medical care, including resuscitation, stabilization, and interventions, to patients with acute injuries or illnesses.

3. Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and assist with diagnostic procedures, such as EKGs, wound care, suturing, and starting intravenous (IV) lines.

4. Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols, and monitor patient responses.
