Job Overview:
Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Certified School Nurse (CSN) for a full-time position with school districts in the Wheeling, IL area. This role is integral to the health and well-being of students, providing essential health services, and promoting a safe and healthy school environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, emergency care, and chronic disease management.

Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with specific health needs.

Conduct health screenings and assessments, including vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings.

Monitor and manage student immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations.

Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community health providers to support student health.

Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Participate in the development of school health policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse endorsement.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school nurse or in a similar role.

Knowledge of state and federal health regulations affecting schools.

Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
