I am prescreening LPNs to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) for a job in Daleville, Indiana for the upcoming school year. This position will involve taking care of two medically fragile students, one in Elementary and one in PreK. The Elementary student has needs which involve the following -  aspirate, flushing, has epilepsy, seizures, can easily get tired. The PreK student has a breathing tube and needs help with flushing. The LPN will be taking care of the Preschooler in the morning and the Elementary student in the afternoon. We are looking for an LPN who is compassionate and capable, able to apply their skills to care for these students. 

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Requirements:

  • IN LPN License
  • Experienced with the caseload described above
  • Highly motivated, student focused
  • Patient, positive with student

    • Licensed Practical Nurse Job Skills:

  • Duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional nurse practice, district/state board of education policies and procedures and State law regarding nurse practice.
  • The nurse should be prepared to provide preventative care as well as deal with emergency situations should they arise
  • Skills such as practice administering insulin, trach care, g-tube care, vent care, and medicine administration tend to be common demands and are valuable in a school setting
  • Collaboration with the nursing team, teachers, and parents may be necessary
