Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time contract position in a school-based setting in Eugene, OR. This role is ideal for a compassionate and dedicated professional with experience in special education, committed to providing exceptional care and support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Medical Care: Provide routine and emergency medical care to students, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs as necessary.
  • Create and Manage Health Plans: Work with school staff and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans for students with medical needs, ensuring their well-being throughout the school day.
  • Document Health Data: Maintain accurate and detailed health records for each student, including documenting medical history, treatment outcomes, and any health-related incidents.
  • Support Special Education Needs: Collaborate with special education staff to address the health-related aspects of students' individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring that their medical needs are met effectively.
  • Educate and Advise: Provide health education to students and staff on various topics, such as chronic condition management, health promotion, and safety. Offer guidance and support to families regarding their child's health requirements.

    Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid LPN license and meet all local and state regulations for practicing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Previous experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
