Full-time Registered Nurse

Immediate need for a Registered Nurse at a school in Salinas, CA. Looking to hire a RN for a school nursing position. Must have certification and nursing license for California.

This position is full time with at least 37.5 hours per week for the 23/24 school year. Prospect will be the general nurse in the building. Payrate is $37/hr.

Description:

• Support for classroom inquiries (e.g., student has rash, student has fever)
• Attention to 2 Gabilan classrooms with students who are medically fragile/chronically ill
• Health assessments for IEPs, participation in some IEP meetings
• Especially at beginning of school year
• Documentation of services
• Training for staff on specialized physical health care needs (i.e., med administration, g-tube, seizure monitoring)
• State reporting (i.e., immunizations)
• vision and hearing screenings of students

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science and Nursing required
• Must have licenses in state of CA
• Pediatrics experience preferred
