Job Title: Full-Time School Registered Nurse - La Habra, CA (23/24 School Year)

Job Description: We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Registered Nurse to join our educational community for the 23/24 school year. As a School Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to students, ensuring their well-being and promoting a healthy learning environment. This is a full-time position located in La Habra, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to students and staff members in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings, including vision and hearing tests, and maintain accurate medical records for all students.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper dosage and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Manage and provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff members as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with specific health needs or conditions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address health concerns and develop strategies to promote a healthy school environment.
• Educate students, families, and staff members on health-related topics, including proper hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored and available when needed.
• Stay updated on current healthcare practices, policies, and regulations related to school nursing.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, parents, and school staff.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to student health and privacy (e.g., HIPAA).
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and basic computer skills.
