General School Nurse Opportunity- Benicia, CA area

Soliant is looking for a general school nurse to join a district health team near Benicia, California. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the health services for the school population. You will also collaborate with the school staff, parents, and community partners to promote the health and well-being of students.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health conditions, such as diabetic treatment, toileting, gtube feeding, various disorders resulting in seizures, suctioning, diabetes, catheters, and medication administration
- Monitor and document the health status and progress of students
- Develop and implement individualized health plans and emergency care plans for students with special health needs
- Provide health education and counseling to students, staff, and families on topics such as disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, and safety
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and reports
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to school health services
- Participate in professional development activities and stay updated on current nursing practices and standards

Requirements:
- Current RN/LVN license in the California
- Associate s or Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Compassion and respect for students from diverse backgrounds and cultures

Benefits:
- $32-$42/hr; Depending on experience and licensure.
