Overview:
New Hampshire Hospital, located in Concord, NH, is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) with psychiatric experience for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves working with patients experiencing acute mental health crises, helping to stabilize their conditions in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing and be comfortable working with patients in crisis.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute mental illness in an inpatient setting.
Assess patients' mental and physical health status, create and implement individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with medical directives and hospital protocols.
Monitor patients' progress, identify changes in condition, and adjust care plans accordingly.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to all hospital and psychiatric care standards.
Document patient progress and care interventions accurately and timely in the medical record.
Requirements:
Current RN license in New Hampshire or compact state.
2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience in an inpatient setting.
BLS certification required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with crisis management and therapeutic interventions.
