Hiring Now! 1 to 1 School Nursing Position - University Place, WA

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a full-time school nurse for a medically fragile student in Maple Grove, MN. This position is for the remainder of the school year with a possible extension for the 2023 and 2024 school year. The school nurse will work 1 to 1 with the student, who has a trach and requires in-line suctioning, G-tube care and feedings, wheelchair assistance for all activities of daily living (ADLs), and use of assistive technology. The student also requires emergency oxygen as needed.

The school nurse will be responsible for bus supervision to/from school, and will receive trach classes provided by Therapy Travelers and/or area hospitals, as well as additional in-district safety, health services, and emergency training provided by the district (virtually). The student's IHP (individualized healthcare plan) is well-detailed, with a clear understanding of tracheostomy emergency care if it becomes dislodged.

Requirements:

• LPN license
• OSPI fingerprint clearance
• Ability to work 1 to 1 with a medically fragile student
• Experience with trach care, G-tube feedings, and wheelchair assistance
• Availability to work for the remainder of the school year, with possible extension
• Availability to attend trach classes and district-provided training virtually
• Ability to provide bus supervision to/from school

Salary: $28 - $36/hour (dependent on experience, credentials, and school budget)
