? About the Role
As the on-site LPN School Nurse, you’ll provide essential health support across the school day. Whether you're caring for minor injuries, administering medications, or managing chronic conditions, your presence keeps students healthy and classrooms running smoothly.
? Key Duties Include:
Assess and treat daily student health concerns and injuries
Dispense medications as prescribed and track dosage schedules
Monitor chronic health issues (diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, etc.)
Develop and manage Individual Health Plans (IHPs)
Maintain health records in line with FERPA and state guidelines
Educate students and staff on hygiene, illness prevention, and wellness
Support school safety plans and emergency preparedness
???? Qualifications
Required:
Valid LPN license in Washington State
CPR/BLS certification
Graduation from a recognized LPN program
Strong communication and record-keeping abilities
Comfortable working independently in a school setting
Preferred:
Previous experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health
Familiarity with school health plans such as IEPs, 504s, and IHPs
