We’re looking for a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse in Hoquiam, WA. In this school-based role, you’ll be the first line of support for student health needs—delivering care, promoting wellness, and helping students succeed academically by ensuring they stay physically and emotionally well.

    About the Position

    As a School Nurse, you’ll work with students from various grade levels, providing routine and emergency care while also supporting the development of individualized health plans. You'll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a safe and healthy school environment.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing direct care for illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions

  • Managing and documenting student health records in accordance with Washington State laws

  • Supporting Individual Health Plans (IHPs), 504 Plans, and IEPs

  • Educating students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention

  • Participating in health screenings and immunization tracking

  • Assisting with emergency procedures and preparedness planning


    What You’ll Need

    Required Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State RN license

  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification

  • Strong clinical and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with school teams

    Preferred:

  • BSN or higher degree

  • Experience in pediatrics, schools, or community health settings

  • Knowledge of school health policies and care plans

  • Bilingual (especially Spanish) is a plus
