Sunbelt Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Travel ICU RN for a 13-week contract in Watertown, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an ICU nurse looking to expand their experience in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Manage patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, acute kidney disease, DKA, sepsis, atrial fibrillation (RVR), post-arrest, stroke/TIA, and more.

Administer and monitor various pressors, cardiac drips, continuous sedation, pain medications, insulin, and heparin.

Respond quickly to emergencies and changes in patient conditions, ensuring timely interventions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and individualized patient care.

Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and aftercare.

Qualifications:

Active NY RN license.

Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.

BLS, ACLS (AHA) certification.

NIH Stroke certification required.

Proficiency in administering critical care drips and medications.

Utilize Meditech EMR for patient documentation and care coordination.

Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment.
