Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a qualified Travel IMCU RN to join a progressive healthcare team in Utica, NY! This position offers a chance to showcase your expertise in a dynamic environment while exploring the historical significance and outdoor adventures that Utica boasts.

Responsibilities:

Provide critical care to patients with complex medical conditions across Neuro/Medical, Cardiothoracic, and Surgical/Trauma specialties.

Implement and manage advanced life support interventions, such as ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and execute individualized care plans

Continuously assess and interpret patient data, promptly identifying any changes or deterioration in their condition

Educate patients and their families on the management of neurological conditions and the importance of self-care post-discharge

Proficient in Epic electronic health records (prior experience a must).

Be flexible and prepared to float to other units as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid New York State Registered Nurse license

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required

Minimum of two years of experience in a ICU setting

Proficiency in advanced life support interventions and critical care monitoring

Strong understanding of complex medical conditions like Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative care.

Epic experience a plus

Must have prior travel nursing experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
