We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Flemington, New Jersey. As an LPN, you will provide skilled nursing care under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with patient care, administer medications, and ensure the overall well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction and supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy, proper dosage, and monitoring for therapeutic effectiveness and potential side effects.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiration, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Assist with patient assessments, collect and document relevant data, and report findings to the registered nurse or physician.
  • Provide direct patient care, including wound dressing changes, catheter care, and basic first aid.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulation.
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, self-care techniques, and disease management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
  • Respect and uphold patients' rights, privacy, and dignity.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Valid New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as an LPN is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to provide quality patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
  • Current CPR certification.
