Licensed Practical Nurse Role in School Setting

Provide direct nursing care to students, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.

Monitor and manage students' health conditions, responding to medical emergencies as needed.

Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement student health plans.

Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and district regulations.

Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.

Support students with chronic illnesses or disabilities to ensure their health needs are met throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

Valid LPN license in the state of Washington.

Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric healthcare is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
