Contract Licensed Vocational Nurse - School Nurse
ProCare Therapy is working with a school district in Vacaville, CA that is looking to hire a licensed vocational nurse for the 2024-2025 school year. The selected LVN will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic illnesses or injuries.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor students with special health needs, such as diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns among students.
  • Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote a healthy school environment.
  • Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state regulations.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  • Participate in school safety drills and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Stay current on best practices and guidelines in school nursing and healthcare

    Schedule:

  • Full time: 32.5 hours/week
  • Hours: 8:00 - 3:00
  • Monday - Friday
  • Elementary and Middle School | 2 school sites
  • LVN will be a general school nurse located in the health office
  • Responsibilities: diabetic care, asthma care, medication administration, seizure medication/protocols, communicating with staff and parents, etc.

    Requirements:

  • Active LVN licensed in California
  • California live scans
  • CPR & BLS certified
  • Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

  • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
