Local or Traveler - Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse - Onc RN - Nights - Oklahoma City OK

This is a 36 hour contract assignment open for a Surgical Oncology unit for a 350 bed Level I Trauma Center in Oklahoma City. The hired Registered Nurse should possess at minimum; 2+ years of RN experience.

Job Details:

• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Number of Beds - 22
• Number of Staff 40
  • Type of staff:
    o Night Shift 1 Charge/Supervisor, 3-4 RN, 1-2 Techs, 1 HUC
• 36 hour work weeks
• 13 weeks
• EMR: Meditech

Job Requirements:

• OK or Compact RN License
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Good Assessment skills to care for the Gyn post op population, Blood Draws, Blood Administration, IV starts, Port access, CVC care
• Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
  • Chemo certification
  • Blood draws, blood product administration, port access, IV starts, Chemo Administration,
  • All types of drain care
  • Best personality Fit: Compassionate

Work Hours:

• 12 hour shifts
• Nights available
• Rotating weekends/holidays and no on call
• Float to other units to care for their med/surg level of care patients
