LPN - short school contract

Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified LPN for a multi-needs classroom in Woodridge, IL. The LPN will be responsible for providing general classroom support as well as supporting a student with medical needs (ostomy bag/health care plan) in a 6-8th grade classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents with special needs and a current LPN license in the state of Illinois.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support to the teacher and students.
• Administer medications and treatments to the student with medical needs according to the health care plan.
• Monitor and assess the student's health status and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of medications, treatments, and health assessments.
• Provide training and support to other staff members as needed.
• Follow all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to nursing and education.

Requirements:

• Current LPN license in the state of Illinois.
• Experience working with children and adolescents with special needs.
• Knowledge of best practices and strategies for working with students with special needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA regulations.

Work Hours:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm

Start Date:

• April 3, 2023

End Date:

• May 25, 2023
