Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a highly skilled Travel MICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Rochester, NY. This position is ideal for an experienced ICU nurse with a background in handling complex critical care cases and proficiency in advanced life support equipment.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), managing conditions such as acute PE, sepsis, COVID, hypothermia, hyponatremia, subdural hematoma, COPD, and hypertension.

Utilize advanced equipment and skills including ECMO, LVAD, Impella, CRRT, IABP, IO, and Intubation/LMA.

Administer arterial blood gases, blood products, and perform rapid infusion and chest tubes as needed.

Conduct thoracotomy procedures, manage biphasic defibrillators, and handle NGT/OGT/lavage, restraints, G-Tube/PEG Tube feedings and medications.

Insert and manage art lines and central lines, ensuring patient safety and care.

Float between units as required, including handling critical cases in other areas of the hospital.

Qualifications:

Active NY State RN license.

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA) certifications required.

Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.

Previous travel experience is required.

EPIC EMR experience preferred.
