Shift: Days (school-based hours)

Job Description: 
We are seeking a qualified and caring Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to work in school districts across the country. Nurses may be assigned to one-to-one positions with individual students, providing tailored healthcare support, or to general school nurse duties, overseeing the health and well-being of the entire student body. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with educators and families to support student health and ensure a safe learning environment. 

Responsibilities: 

  • One-to-One Nursing: Provide direct care and monitoring to students with special healthcare needs, such as administering medications, assisting with mobility, and responding to medical emergencies. 

  • General School Nursing: Perform routine nursing duties, such as first aid, managing illness or injury, administering medications, and health screenings for the student population. 

  • Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for students. 

  • Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with state and district guidelines. 

  • Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including prevention, wellness, and safety. 

  • Respond to health emergencies and develop individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) as needed. 

    Qualifications: 

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. 
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (school or pediatric experience is highly preferred). 
  • Experience in providing care to children with special needs is a plus. 
  • Ability to work in a school setting and communicate effectively with children, parents, and school staff. 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different school environments.
