Role: School Nurse/RN
Position Type: Full-Time M-T-TH-F 7:20am to 2:50pm and W 7:20am to 3:05pm
Caseload: Middle School
Start Date: August 19th
Pay range: RN: $30-$40/hr+ depending on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct healthcare services to a student with a seizure disorder. Those needs might include first aid, administering medications, and or managing chronic health conditions.
  • Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
  • Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.
  • Trach and vent support possibly
  • Helping the student navigate around the school

    Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting preferred).
  • Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
