Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time contract position within a school-based setting in Cartersville, GA. This role is ideal for a dedicated healthcare professional with experience in special education, who is passionate about supporting students' health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and Monitor Medical Care: Provide routine and emergency medical care to students, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs to ensure students' health and safety.
  • Develop and Implement Health Plans: Work with school personnel and healthcare providers to create and manage individualized health plans for students with medical needs, ensuring that these plans are executed effectively throughout the school day.
  • Maintain Accurate Health Records: Keep detailed records of students' medical histories, treatment plans, and health incidents. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with local and state regulations.
  • Support Special Education Needs: Collaborate with special education staff to address the health-related aspects of students' individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring that medical needs are met and that students receive appropriate support.
  • Educate and Guide Families: Provide health education to students and staff on various health topics and offer support to families regarding their child's health needs, including chronic condition management and health promotion strategies.

    Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid LPN license and meet all local and state regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
