We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care for a student. The student is a quadriplegic, non-English speaker who requires specialized care throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN looking to make a meaningful impact by providing essential medical support to a student in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 care for a quadriplegic student.
  • Perform manual catheterization and assist with feeding.
  • Assist the student with mobility around the school campus, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Monitor the student’s health and respond to any medical needs as they arise during the school day.
  • Communicate and collaborate with school staff, healthcare professionals, and the student’s family to ensure consistent and comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report any changes in the student’s condition.
  • Awaiting receipt of medical records for further care instructions.

    Requirements

  • Current LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Experience with catheterization, feeding assistance, and mobility support preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with a non-English speaking student.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Must be comfortable assisting with physical tasks related to student mobility.

    Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, following the school day schedule.
  • Full-Time position.
