Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Location: Paducah, KY
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:
A reputable medical center in Paducah, KY, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team. The OR RN will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to provide optimal patient care.

Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgery, responding to any changes promptly.

Maintain sterile techniques and enforce infection control practices.

Assist in positioning patients and preparing them for surgery.

Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families pre- and post-operatively.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky (or eligibility to obtain).

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).

BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred).

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OR nurse preferred; new graduates with clinical OR rotations are encouraged to apply.

Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile field maintenance.

Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
