Requirements

• Idaho state RN license
• ACLS/BLS
• Must be able to scrub
• 2 years experience in Operating room

Shift

• 13 weeks
• 4x10
• Day shift
• 6:15a-4:45p
• On call required

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment: Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patients' physical and emotional readiness for surgery, and collaborate with the surgical team to develop individualized care plans.

2. Surgical Preparation: Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile. Verify the accuracy of patient identification, surgical site, and procedure.

3. Aseptic Technique: Maintain strict aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety. Assist in draping and positioning the patient.

4. Instrumentation: Pass instruments, supplies, and medications to the surgeon and surgical team as needed during the procedure. Anticipate the surgeon's needs.

5. Medication Administration: Administer medications, including anesthesia, as directed by the anesthesia provider or surgeon. Monitor the patient's vital signs and response to medications.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
