Contract School Nurse: RN's or LPN's Welcome!

ProCare Therapy is working with a school district located in Londonderry, NH that is looking to hire an LPN or RN as a part time school nurse for the 2024-2025 school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year.

The selected candidate will be hired on as a part time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation and weekly paychecks.

Schedule:

  • Part time: 15 hours per week
  • Hours: 8:15 - 11:15
  • Monday - Friday
  • 1:1 with preschool student
  • LPN or RN will be responsible for providing medical care to assigned student throughout the school day
  • Responsibilities may include: oxygen, g-tube care, hygiene assistance, wheelchair assistance, seizure monitoring, medication administration and classroom assistance

    Essential Duties: 

  • Provide private duty nursing services to students with medical needs within the school setting.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and assess students' health status, including vital signs, symptoms, and response to interventions.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and communications.
  • Educate and train school staff on students' healthcare needs and emergency procedures.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of students' medical information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

    Requirements:

  • Active LPN or RN licensed in New Hampshire
  • Associates or Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
  • CPR & BLS certified
  • Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
