An experienced RN with a strong NICU background is needed for an engaging contract opportunity. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional care to neonatal patients, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Candidates should be prepared to rotate weekends and holidays, with flexibility to float as required.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 0700-1900
  • Weekend rotation: Two Fridays and two Mondays, plus every other weekend on a six-week schedule
  • Holiday work required as scheduled
  • Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license with proven experience in a Level III/IV NICU setting
  • Nursing - RN-NICU or extensive NICU expertise
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Ability to adapt to float assignments, including Neonatal PCU, General Peds, Pediatric CVICU, and PICU as needed
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for neonates, including assessments, interventions, and documentation
  • Monitor changes in patient conditions and promptly communicate concerns
  • Support families with education and emotional support
  • Float to designated pediatric units as needed, acting as a resource and assisting within scope of expertise
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital and nursing policies
