Are you a compassionate nurse with expertise in tracheostomy care? We are excited to offer a full-time position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in South Henderson, NC, for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to provide specialized care to high school students with complex medical needs.

Position: 1:1 Nurse (RN)
Location: South Henderson, NC
Type: Full-Time
Dates: August 2, 2024 - May 23, 2025
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Transportation: Required to accompany the student on the bus to and from school
Caseload: 1:1 with high school students who have tracheostomies

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Specialized Care: Deliver one-on-one care, including tracheostomy maintenance, health evaluations, and individual health plan management.
  • Health Monitoring: Conduct routine assessments and keep detailed health records.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive medical care plans and reports.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with school staff, parents, and the district nurse supervisor to meet the student’s medical needs.
  • Transportation: Assist with the student’s transportation on the bus.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to address any health emergencies.

    Requirements:

  • Licensure: Current RN licensure.
  • Experience: Background in tracheostomy care and health evaluations.
  • Skills: Ability to manage complex medical needs and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
