School-Based Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) 1:1 Case

Position Summary: Procare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. The LVN will work closely with the student, their family, and school staff to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct medical care and support to a specific student with individualized medical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by the student's healthcare plan.
• Monitor and assess the student's health status and response to medical interventions.
• Collaborate with the student's family, teachers, and school administrators to develop and implement an effective healthcare plan.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
• Communicate regularly with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other medical professionals.
• Participate in training and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Prior experience working as an LVN in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
