Procare Therapy is currently seeking a School-Based Registered Nurse for the 2023-2024 school year in Camarillo, CA. Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and assistance to students with various health conditions, ensuring their well-being and safety during school hours.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and first aid as required, following appropriate protocols and procedures.
• Monitor and manage students with chronic illnesses or disabilities, collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and immunization reviews to maintain accurate medical records and identify any health concerns.
• Educate students, parents, and school staff on health-related topics, including preventive measures, managing chronic conditions, and promoting overall wellness.
• Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to develop and implement health policies, emergency response plans, and health education programs.
• Provide training and guidance to school staff regarding medication administration, emergency procedures, and other health-related issues.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student health information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (preferred).
• Prior experience in pediatric or school nursing is highly desirable.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient computer skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
