Procare Therapy, a leading provider of educational staffing and therapeutic services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Registered Nurse to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. As a contracted Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of students within the La Habra, CA school district.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and emergency medical assistance to students and staff during school hours.
• Administer medications, treatments, and first aid as needed, following the school's policies and procedures.
• Assess and manage students' chronic illnesses, allergies, and other health conditions.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized healthcare plans for students with special needs.
• Maintain accurate health records, including immunization records and health screenings.
• Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Monitor and respond to communicable diseases and implement infection control measures as required.
• Participate in school health promotion activities and assist in implementing health policies and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Registered Nurse license.
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Excellent assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient computer skills for maintaining electronic health records.

Contract Details:

• Employment period: 2023-2024 school year.
• Full-time position with consistent hourly compensation.
• The contract will be facilitated through Procare Therapy.
