Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced RNs for a full-time role within school districts in the Orange, NJ area. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school-based environment, providing essential health services to students and collaborating with school staff to ensure the well-being and safety of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, emergency care, and management of chronic health conditions.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate health records for students, in compliance with state and school district policies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with medical needs.
  • Conduct health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing) and monitor immunization records to ensure compliance with state health requirements.
  • Assist in health education initiatives and promote healthy practices within the school community.
  • Respond to health-related emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Maintain and manage the health office, including medical supplies and equipment.

    Special Requirements: 

  • Active RN license in New Jersey.
  • Active school nurse certification in New Jersey.
  • School-based experience is required; clinical setting experience alone is not sufficient.
  • Completion of a comprehensive background check in accordance with state and district regulations.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, as required by New Jersey state guidelines.
