Caseload: 1:1 Needs, Severe to Moderate Disabilities

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work 1:1 with students in Pittsfield, MA for the 2024-2025 school year. The nurse will provide direct care to students with moderate to severe medical needs, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 Care:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to a student with moderate to severe medical conditions, ensuring their health and well-being during school hours.

  • Health Monitoring:

  • Monitor and assess the student’s medical condition, administering medications and treatments as needed.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure the student’s health needs are met in the educational setting.

  • Communication:

  • Communicate regularly with parents and healthcare providers to update on the student’s condition and coordinate care.

    Qualifications:

  • Licensure:

  • Must hold a valid Massachusetts LPN license.

  • Experience:

  • Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills to manage and respond to the student’s health needs effectively.

    Work Schedule:

  • Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • Caseload: 1:1 support for a student with moderate to severe disabilities.
