Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time, 1:1 position in San Marcos, CA. The LVN will provide specialized nursing care to a student, including bus riding to and from school, ensuring the student’s health and safety throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 Student Care:

  • Provide direct nursing care to a medically fragile student, including monitoring and attending to health needs during school hours and bus rides.
  • Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and manage the student’s health plan as required.

  • Bus Riding:

  • Accompany the student on the bus to and from school, ensuring safety and addressing any medical needs during transit.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with school staff, teachers, and parents to ensure the student’s health needs are met.
  • Communicate regularly with the school nurse, healthcare providers, and the student’s family to coordinate care.

    Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must be a licensed LVN in the state of California.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with medically fragile children in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.

    Work Schedule:

  • Position: Full-Time
  • Role: 1:1 with a medically fragile student, including bus riding responsibilities
  • Pay Rate: $27-$30/hr
