ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with pediatric trach experience for a full-time contract position in Barre, MA. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential nursing care in a school setting, working with students who require specialized medical attention. As an LPN with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' health and well-being, ensuring they are able to thrive in their educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to pediatric students with tracheostomies, including suctioning, monitoring, and emergency interventions as needed.

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.

  • Create and implement individual health care plans for students with pediatric trach needs.

  • Monitor students' vital signs and overall health, responding to any changes or emergencies in a timely manner.

  • Work closely with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and supportive school environment.

  • Educate school staff on medical procedures, especially regarding pediatric trach care and emergency protocols.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential health records for all students in accordance with school policies and regulations.

  • Respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively, providing necessary care.

    Requirements:

  • Active LPN license in Massachusetts.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN, with a strong background in pediatric trach care.

  • Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.

  • Ability to handle medical emergencies and provide care in high-pressure situations.
