School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with Pediatric Trach Experience - Contract Position

Provide nursing care to pediatric students with tracheostomies, including suctioning, monitoring, and emergency interventions as needed.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.

Create and implement individual health care plans for students with pediatric trach needs.

Monitor students' vital signs and overall health, responding to any changes or emergencies in a timely manner.

Work closely with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and supportive school environment.

Educate school staff on medical procedures, especially regarding pediatric trach care and emergency protocols.

Maintain accurate, confidential health records for all students in accordance with school policies and regulations.

Respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively, providing necessary care.

Requirements:

Active LPN license in Massachusetts.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN, with a strong background in pediatric trach care.

Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.

Ability to handle medical emergencies and provide care in high-pressure situations.
