School Nurse (1:1 LPN) Paramus, New Jersey area

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse (LPN) to provide support to one student for 2023-2024 school year. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will accompany this student to and from school on the bus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide monitoring to the student, who is diabetic
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Assess and document the students' health status regularly, including vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in condition
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
• Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and following established protocols
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all nursing interventions, observations, and communication related to the student's care

Requirements:

• Valid and current LPN license
• Previous experience in pediatric nursing
• Ability to assess and respond effectively to medical emergencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Compassionate, patient, and able to establish rapport with students
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Note: The selected candidate will be required to undergo a background check and provide necessary medical clearances.

Full-time, (2023-2024 school year)
Hours per week: approximately 35-40
First day is 9/6/23 - Last day of school is 6/20/2024
Nurse can report to work at district when student does not attend school

Contract Details:

• This is a W2 contract position for the 2023/2024 academic year.
• Renewals are available for the right fit.
• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Driving/travel stipends available for those who qualify.

• Weekly pay, every Friday.
• Hourly pay, negotiable based on experience of applicant. Off on weekends, evenings, and school holidays/breaks.
