School Nurse 9th-12th Grade - Melrose Park, IL - Full Time

A local high school in the Melrose Park, IL area has a full time opening for a School Nurse. Seeking an RN BSN with a PEL certification, or to have the PEL certification in process. If you are unsure if you have this certification but have school's experience, we encourage you to apply.
The School Nurse will provide support to a health room for grades 9th - 12th grad.

School Nurse Responsibilities:

• Providing direct care to students 9-12th grade in the health room
• Diabetic care
• Asthma Care
• Medication administration
• Wound care
• Immunization compliance
• Vaccine paperwork
• Contacting parents
• Developing care plans
• Special education evaluations
• Respond to emergency situations
• Float across buildings within district as needed

School Nurse Job Qualifications:

• Illinois RN License
• Bachelors in Nursing
• IL PEL Certification (Must have or in process)
