Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse (RN) to join a school district in Northbrook, IL. The School Nurse will play a vital role in promoting student health and well-being, providing medical care, and fostering a safe school environment for all students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to students in accordance with state and federal guidelines and school policies.

  • Manage and respond to medical emergencies, including coordinating care and communicating with emergency services as necessary.
  • Participate in school health initiatives and programs aimed at promoting health awareness and improving student health outcomes.
  • Stay informed about current health issues, best practices, and school health policies.

    Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Knowledge of pediatric health care issues, immunization requirements, and school health regulations.
  • Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
