Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a School Nurse in Matinecock, NY. This is a great opportunity for an experienced nurse to work within an educational setting, providing essential health services to students. The School Nurse will be responsible for addressing students' physical, mental, and emotional health needs, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Conduct health assessments, maintain health records, and ensure students meet immunization and health screening requirements.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop health care plans for students with medical needs.
  • Respond to health emergencies and provide appropriate medical care and follow-up.
  • Educate students, staff, and families about health-related topics, including illness prevention and wellness initiatives.
  • Monitor and control communicable diseases within the school setting.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school policies.

    Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Previous experience as a School Nurse or in pediatrics is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple student health concerns.
