School Nursing Opening - RN/LVN - El Monte, CA

Procare Therapy is seeking a full-time School Nurse to work with Preschool - 12th grade students in the El Monte, CA area for the remainder of the school year and 2023-2024. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting, be licensed as an RN or LVN in California, and be able to work either 1 to 1 or within a health room. As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for administering medications, providing first aid, and managing student health records.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments to students as prescribed by a physician
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
• Manage student health records and ensure they are up to date
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health and wellness
• Monitor student health and provide health education to students and families
• Maintain a safe and healthy school environment

Requirements:

• Active RN or LVN license in California
• Prior experience working as a School Nurse preferred
• Ability to work either 1 to 1 or within a health room
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary:

This is a contract position, and pay will range from $34 - $44+ per hour depending on experience, credentials, and budget.
